Law of Karma – “Value Systems for Success”

The Supreme Law..

Why worry about wealth and wife, O distracted one! Is there not for you the one who ordains? In the three worlds, it is only association with good people that can serve as a boat to cross the sea of worldly existence.

The three worlds may represent the physical, emotional and intellectual worlds. Your body, mind and intellect relating to the world of objects, emotions and thoughts represent life. In this life, association with good people serves as a boat to cross the sea of worldly existence. Life is compared to the sea. “Boat to cross the sea” is an off-quoted metaphor in the literatures. “Boat” represents scriptural values.

If you get into the boat, you are free from the lashes of the waves of the ocean. You are in the water, yet not in touch with water. Similarly, your constant association with the scriptural values liberates you from the lashes of worldly challenges and fluctuations.

The intellect in you is the captain. The captain of the intellect in you will guide you through the winds of passions and emotions of mind. The captain steers the boat by referring to the mariner’s compass that always points to the north. Similarly, within you is the compass of conscience. The conscience is the deep and subtle call from within, which always points to the right direction. It is that unseen hands that are holding you back from doing the wrong things.
