Law of Karma – “Value Systems for Success”
Pain in Wealth…
Wealth is calamitous: thus reflect always; there is not the least happiness therefrom. This is the Truth. For the wealthy, there is fear even in his own son. This is the way it is ordained everywhere.
For the wealthy, there is fear even in his own son – this means that our attachment to wealth creates doubt and suspicion towards people who are closest to us. Attachment to wealth threatens the harmony in human relations. We accumulate wealth with an idea of gaining security. But the insecurity also grows in proportion to the material security that you acquire. There is suspicion and fear even in his son. There is fear in all levels of wealth – material, physical emotional and intellectual. Shakespeare expresses it as “uneasy lies the head that wears the crown”
If your value systems are not clear, achieving what you desire can be a great tragedy. Therefore, it warns the seekers to be vigilant about their interaction with wealth.
People also make the wrong use of wealth in the name of status. Most people when they buy a fancy car, ridiculously expensive brand of cloths or jewelries, what is the motive behind it? Invariably they spend such horrendous amount to impress others. Not because that add value to their life. Some people buy things well beyond their pocket to impress others around. They buy things they do not need, with money they do not have, to impress people they do not like! They invariably try to impress people whom they don’t like. This will only provoke envy in others. Thus, they suffer because of wealth.
