Silence of The Mind
The mind infested with desire experiences constant agitation. Though the disciplines described in the above verses, the mind becomes relatively peaceful. Such a mind can be given a point of concentration. Through consistent and prolonged meditation, the last traces of desire also vanish and the mind becomes absolutely still. In that equanimous mind, the Self reveals itself.
Through meditation, you eradicate the veil of ignorance. The Divinity reveals itself. Divinity you are already. You only have to recognize your Goodhood. If you are not qualified for that intense meditation, try to silence your mind. Observe your mind. Thoughts are bound to surface. Neither identify with the thought, nor condemn it. Do not force the thought out of your mind but let your intellect observe your mind. You will soon find that the thought slowly dies and the mind is, thus, free from the disturbing desire.
