Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

 

The role of the Quantity Surveyor is, to manage cost planning, value engineering, feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, lifecycle costing, valuation, and cost estimation in a construction project.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities :

Preparing estimates, feasibility studies and budgets for building projects

Performing risk and value management and cost control

Pricing/estimating for building projects and tenders

Assessing Quantity from drawings/ specifications

Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities

Valuing completed work and arranging payments

Need to liaise with main contractors, sub contractors and other parties involved the projects

Monitoring and reporting on project costs

Advising on procurement strategy

Preparation and submission of invoices and follow up for payments with the client/consultant

 

Experience Required:

 

8 years experience in Quantity Surveying in a major Construction or Engineering Consultant environment.

 

Degree in Technical Engineering discipline, Certified as Quantity Surveyor

 

Communication, problem solving & Analytical Skills

I had indicated the range as 2500 to 4500 and that is for virtually for freshers including ITI candidates. It may be noted that this range is higher than the stipend offered for appendices under Central Government scheme. An year's working experience with us will substantially add to the market value of the candidates, much more than in what they could expect from big companies. We could lift the range to Rs.3000 to 5000 and make it appear more decent or dignified, if you so desire. Kindly note that, we give substantial annual increments of 1000 to 1500 depending on performance.
