New Zealand wins a thriller against Bangladesh. Firm favorites New Zealand were given a real run for their money by a fighting Bangladesh but eventually prevailed by 3 wickets with 7 balls to spare. Chasing a stiff target of 289 New Zealand were in a spot of bother when they lost a few wickets towards the end. Man of the match Martin Guptill scored a superb hundred and he was aided by Ross Taylor who made a fifty. Earlier Bangladesh put up a good show with the bat and Mahamadullas hundred took them to 288.With this result it is confirmed that India will play Bangladesh in the quarterfinals.
