Tata ties up with Smart phone giant Xiaomi. In a development of big significance in the hot and happening field of smart phone market Ratan Tata chairman emeritus of the holding company of the Tata conglomerate has acquired a stake stake in Xiaomi Technology. It is a deal that is likely to support the phone maker s vicinity in the world s third-largest cell phone market. Following the tradition of disclosing information the vice president of Xiaomi Hugo Barra unfolded this announcement on his Facebook wall today by posting a picture with Mr Ratan Tata and Xiaomi India Head Manu Kumar Jain. With this partnership amp investment from Ratan Tata the company has plans to set up a plant in India and wants to become one of the Indian Smartphone brands. Xiaomi recently launched its new flagship device Mi 4i in India for Rs 12999 along with the Xiaomi first fitness tracker Mi Band for Rs 999 which has created a huge buzz in the smartphone market.
