Arsenal keeps hopes alive Arsenal kept their Champions Cup hopes alive with a 2-0 win over favourites Bayern Munich in a do - or - die battle at Emirates on Tuesday. In the match of the day in Group E Bayer Leverkusen and Roma played out a thrilling 4-4 draw with the lead changing hands constantly. Former Manchester United player Javier Fernandez scored twice for Leverkusen to put them ahead before Daniele Rosi scored twice to equal the score. It was Romas turn to go ahead with goals from Miralem Pjanic and Iago Falque but Kevin Kampl and Admir Mehmedi scored in the 82nd and 88th minutes for the Germans and the game ended in a draw. Meanwhile in the same group holders Barcelona had a comfortable 2-0 win over BATE Borisov with Ballon dOr nominee Ivan Rakitic scoring both goals. In Group G Chelsea drew with Dynamo Kyiv while FC Porto defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv by two goals to nill. Zenith St Petersburg and Valencia recorded victories over and Olympic Lyonnais and KAA Gent respectively and are placed on top of Group H.
