Celta de Vego join Barca and Madrid at the top Celta de Vego beat Villarreal and joined Real Madrid and Barcelona at the top of the Spanish League with 18 points each. Madrid top on goal difference with Vego on second spot. Had Villarreal won they would have overtaken both Spanish giants to be alone at the top but it was not to be as Celta de Vego dominated the proceedings and Villarreal had to play with 10 men after Eric Bailey was red - carded on the 47th minute. Fabian Orellana opened the scoring for Vego in the 41st minute but Denis Suarez equalised in the 67th minute. Nolito scored the all important winner in injury time after soon after Orellana had hit the cross bar. In other matches Atletico Madrid beat Real Sociedad 2-0 Getafe defeated Las Palmas 4-0 and Deportivo la Coruna drew 2-0 with Athletic Bilbao.
