Chennayin FC Beat Pune City FC Chennayin FC overtook Pune City in the table to be second after they beat them by two goals to one in the Hero Indian Super League at Chennai. Bernard Mendy scored in the 34th minute when he headed in a long throw by Dhanachandra Singh. Soon after the break Mendoza doubled the lead after a lovely little play off with Elano and going round Pune goalkeeper Simonsen. Chennai continued to dominate possession but suddenly against the run of play Uche scored to reduce the lead but Pune could not find the equaliser and the score finished at 2-1 in favour of Chennayin FC.
