Mumbai City thrash North East United A brilliant hat-trick by in-form Sunil Chhetri enabled FC Mumbai City to outplay North East United 5-4 and climb to second place behind FC Pune City in the Hero Indian Super League match at Dr D Y Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. Chhetri scored in the 23rd minute through a penalty and after Boithang Haokip equalised in the 28th minute Chhetri scored again to put Mumbai ahead at the break. Though Mumbai led at the interval North East had more of the play but it was a different story after the break with Mumbai rattling the easterners with some brilliant play. Chhetri completed his hat-trick with another penalty after the break and in the 51st minute Sony Norde scored with a neat placement after beating the offside trap. Frantz Bertiz headed in off a corner with four minutes remaining to complete the tally.
