South Africa clinch series with massive win in final ODI South Africa won the final ODI against India at Wankede Stadium by a massive margin of 214 runs and with that clinched the series 3-2 to record their first series win in India. Winning the toss and electing to bat the Proteas lost Amla who looked in good form for 23 but de Kock and du Plessis put on a rollicking stand of 154 for the second wicket before de Kock got out for a magnificent 109 made of 87 balls. Worse was yet to come as the new batsman de Villiers hammered a quickfire 119 of 61 balls with three 4s and eleven 6s while du Plessis also joined the fun hitting sixes and fours at will until he retired at 133 made in 115 balls. With 3 batsmen scoring centuries South Africa reached 438 in 50 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. India lost Sharma and Kohli with 44 on board but Dhawan and Rahane raised hopes when they added 112 runs for the third wicket but Rabada who bowled magnificently throughout the series dismisses Dhawan at 156 and then the collapse began. Rahane hit a belligerent 87 of 58 balls but Indian innings folded up for 224 runs with Rabada taking 4 for 41 and Steyn 3 for 38. Quinton de Kock is the man of the match and de Villiers is the man of the series. South Africa have won both the T20 and ODI series and now the attention shifts to the test series.
