Virendra Sehwag to retire Virendra Sehwag known for his swashbuckling and fearless batting has decided to retire and the announcement is expected to be made shortly according to reports from reliable sources. He has confirmed his participation in Masters Champions League MCL which is for retired international cricketers only. This marks the end of a remarkable career with some outstanding feats which for most looked unbelievable. Some of his records make awesome reading. 1. He is the only Indian to have scored two triple hundreds in test cricket. 319 against Pakistan at Multan and 309 against South Africa. No other Indian has reached triple hundred so far. His third highest score of 293 is also the third highest by an Indian in test cricket. 2. He scored the fastest triple hundred in test cricket when he reached 300 in 278 balls 3. He scored 219 of 149 balls in an ODI which was the highest and fastest until Rohit Sharma made 264 in 173 balls. 4. He has scored 23 test centuries and 15 one day hundreds in his international career. 5. He has taken 40 test wickets and 96 ODI wickets as an all rounder. 6.
