Hafeez leads Pakistan fightback An unbeaten 97 by Mohammed Hafeez has brought Pakistan back into the match after England gained a first innings lead of 72 runs on the third day of the third test at Sharjah. England added 84 runs to their overnight score of 222 for 4 to be all out for 306 and Pakistan in their second innings reached 146 for 3 by the end of the days play with Hafeez unbeaten on 97 with nine 4s and three 6s. Pakistan are now 74 runs ahead with 7 wickets in hand. Shoib Malik who announced his retirement today was dismissed without scoring to the first ball he faced from Anderson but bowled brilliantly to take 4 wickets and hasten the end of English innings.
