Wear a Crash Helmet!
A Crash helmet should always be worn and secured by anyone travelling on a motorbike- including the passenger. It can save your life or reduce the head injuries significantly in the event of an accident.
The using of Crash helmets is for safety feature rather than fashion. With the increasing number of deaths and injury due to non-usage of protective gear, it will be a matter of time before we see stricter laws for usage and quality of helmets being enforced.
Moped and motorcycle riders are involved in more than half of all road traffic fatalities with helmet-less riders being three times more likely to sustain head injuries than those with helmets. Crash helmets help reduce head-injury-related mortality by 71%. It is to be emphasized in the strongest possible language that a crash helmet is instrumental in saving many people involved in accidents from a potentially fatal outcome
A good crash helmet should
· Not obstruct vision.
· Not impair the hearing.
· Be light weight.
