Law of Karma – “Value Systems for Success”
Beware Your Senses..
Day and night, dusk and dawn, winter and spring come repeatedly. Time sports, life is fleeting. Yet one does not leave the gusts of desires!
The passing golden deer represents the sense objects, which are very attractive (golden) and the sensual pleasures which are very fleeting (swift deer).
When the temptation arises, the conscience warns you against the pleasures.
This is represented by Rama’s advise to Sita not to insist for the deer. But often your desires are too strong to heed the call of conscience. You impulsively stop to the demands of the senses. Before you realize, you become a victim to your own senses.
This is indicated by Sita becoming a victim to Ravana, the ten-headed monster. Ravana represents the ten senses, which often act as a monster craving for sensual pleasures. When you lose control over your desires, you become a victim to the senses.
Like Sita lost control over her senses and she became a victim of the ten headed monster Ravana, you waste your life by being a victim of your senses.
Therefore, analyze yourself. Ask yourself what your life is about and in what direction are you paying attention. Focus on eliminating the gusts of desires.
