Law of Karma - "Value Systems for Success"

Law of Karma – “Value Systems for Success”

Independence is the Insignia of Human Life

‘Living in temples under trees’ symbolically represents his inner state of attunement to Divinity. The temple represents the human personality and the sanctum sanctorum symbolizes the Self or GOD consciousness within. Thus ‘living in temple, under trees’ implies living a life of self-sufficiency and enjoying the solitude by focusing upon the supreme Self within. It is not a life of indolence and unproductive resignation, but a dynamic state of dedication to the Highest. He is not dependent upon the external world for his inner joy. He has discovered the undiminishing satisfaction for himself, by himself, within himself. Such an individual may be in the midst of worldly activities. He may be in the din-and-roar of the market place. Yet, always tuned into the Self within. He is never dependent upon the world whatsoever. That makes man the chef-de-d’oeuvre of creation of all the living kingdoms.

There are three living kingdoms, plants, animals and human kingdom. Among the three living kingdoms, plants are fully dependent upon the world. If a plant does not get water at its root, it will perish. Animals are less dependent on the world. They can migrate to places thousands of miles away to find a place conducive to their survival. They manage their existence.

A human being alone has the capacity to be independent of the external world for their inner joy. Yet, only human beings suffer through dependency on the world. You become dependent upon the weather, vehicle, television, the company of your spouse, particular types of food, your children, music etc.etc. In the absence of these, you feel miserable!

to be continued..
