Offer of Free Open Heart Surgeries of children belonging to poor families by GIFT OF LIFE!..further clarifications (helpful!)

My Dear Friends

Further to our earlier circular, please note the additional details received from Dr. AC Peter. I am sure, this will be very helpful to many of our friends.

As all of you know that as far as possible we prefer to circulate only genuine messages. We have been receiving many such messages from our friends regarding free operations, free medicine, cancer cures etc. for circulation, without any authenticity. We request you to kindly check the authenticity of any message you receive, before circulating it to your friends.

And yes, please do circulate the genuine messages as even if we can save a person and/or a child and help the worried parents, it will be a great help to the humanity.

We have received one such recommendation from one of our very senior members from US recommending an organisation (http://careandshare.in/) based in Cochin who extend help for heart surgeries etc. While we appreciate and trust his recommendation, but since the organisation has projected our Cine Actor, Mr. Mammotty, I discussed with the coordinator, Mr. Manish, and called for certain clarifications/information. I also will try to speak to Mr. Mammotty to get more clarity, before circulating the message please.

I sincerely request you to kindly support by circulating genuine messages to your friends and contacts (not necessarily be our members, as our concept is always to help the humanity)... while we give a BIG THANKS to GOD for giving us this Beautiful Life, let us try to help the unfortunate to take advantage of such genuine offers.

We once again express our sincere thanks to Dr. Peter for supporting the needy.

Yours Loving

Gopal

Helping hands are more valuable than praying lips... please try to implement in whatever way possible!

Dear Sirs,

We have tie up with five major hospitals in Delhi. We have blood bank in Delhi. We have boarding/lodging facility in Delhi. We have pick up and drop facility in Delhi. We have a Committee in Delhi. Our Rotarians visit the children and give motherly care.

We state the above because WE ARRANGE OPEN HEART SURGERY OF CHILDREN ON OUR OWN, WITH OWN ACTIVE PARTICIPATION AND INVOLVEMENT. We are not Doctors and we do not own any hospital. We are not here to give donation to organisations or people or hospitals. WE JUST ARRANGE THE SURGERY BY OURSELVES AS OUR BELOVED PROJECT with active participation in it.

If any one is seriously interested to get the open heart surgery of their children/wards done by us in Delhi 'free of cost', then they should directly contact us with 'echo' reports in pdf format by email attachment.

For your kind information, we attach brief GOL protocol:

QUOTE

The offer is for open heart surgery for children up to the age of twenty, suffering from CHD (congenital heart diseases) like VSD/ASD/PDA/TOF etc. (It is generally routed through a Rotary Club, Regional Coordinator of Gift of Life and or Rotary District Governor).

Printed Echocardiography report (generally two pages) should be scanned in pdf format and send to us as email attachment (for getting it evaluated at our approved hospitals in Delhi for acceptability/operability). The echo report should be recent one.

One recent passport size photograph of the child must be furnished.

Contact details should be given.

The following cases may discouraged:

(i) Valve replacement cases, complex cases, and multiple surgeries - usually need sustained expenditure on post operative medicines for the entire length of life.

(ii) High risk cases, where either the chances of survival or quality of life is poor.

Acceptance of child by hospital (when done) is on the belief that the submitted echo reports are accurate and that the baby's condition is as has been described. However, after detailed evaluation of the child in hospital on arrival, if found not fit for surgery, hospital may send back the child without surgery.

UNQUOTE

We thank you for your concern for poor children. We also thank you for sparing your time to write to us.

Kind regards,

AC Peter

Dear Sir,

I see this mail and this is really a wonderful thing you are doing. Even if everybody has everything, only some people can make use their resources for others. I also pray to God you may get more chances to get in to others heart.

I have a friend whose 3 years old son is suffering from some heart problems.

Yesterday they had an appointment in Sri Chithira hospital, Trivandrum and this is diagnosed as “TOF” which required a surgery.

In Sri Chittira for this operation they will get the date after one and half to two years only.

My friend’s father is also suffering from some illness and his financial situation is not good, if you could help this person for his sons’s operation at the earliest.

Since this matter was a main subject in our prayer, I am sure this mail I received is a part of the reply.

My friends e-mail is jomon...  and phone number is 00971 55 4592718.

I also appreciate Mr.Gopalji for his efforts to help others.

Thanking you,

Dear Friends

The enclosed message from our Dr AC Peter is self explanatory. You may direct such parents to him to take advantage of this offer. We express our sincere gratitude to him for supporting the humanity.

Gopal

P.S. We would like to make a cover story about Mr. Kochouseph, Chairman of VGuard in our next issue. We have requested one of our friends to make a beautiful cover story. However, if you have some details about him, family, humanitarian activities etc. please do send us the same.

Dear Mr Gopal Nair,

What is unknown to you is that this Industrialist is a Rotarian belonging to a Rotary Club in Cochin. He was given special recognition during Rotary District function last month at Cochin (which I attended). Rotary's ideal is 'service above self' which also inspired him to undertake this noble humanitarian gesture.

We GIFT OF LIFE in India arrange 'free open heart surgeries' of children belonging to poor families (who cannot afford cost of surgery), suffering from congenital heart diseases, upto the age of 20 years, at Escorts Hospital, National Heart Institute, Pushapanjali Crosslay and AlChemsit in Delhi. We have special package arrangements with these hospitals in Delhi and the cost of surgery is free to beneficiary. So far 1700 children from all parts of India and a few from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Uganda (total 25 children), Kenya, Sudan, ElSalvador etc benefited.

If you come to know of poor children needing open heart surgery (to cure CHD such as ASD/VSD/PDA/TOF etc), you are welcome to contact me.

We take this opportunity to congratulate you and also to appreciate you for the good work you are doing so. Keep going, keep up the noble work. We offer our support.

Wow..really wonderful!

Helping hands are more valuable than praying lips - many of us feel that help = "money" only.

Though he can afford spending money to save many such people, but, yes, this is truly the "helping hands to save a life" We all should be proud of him!

If anybody has got his personal contact details, please do share with us as we would like to send him a personal message on behalf of MFG!

Yours Loving
