Director mysskin lashes out against maniratnam movie nayakan

Tamil film director Myskkin who is known for his maverick ways has always been at the receiving end of blame for copying. Now the director has given a strongly worded statement saying that even the celebrated Manirathnam movie Nayakan is a copy. According to him the movie which fetched five national awards was a blatant copy but people are not highlighting this and are training their guns on small directors like him. Nayakan is considered a landmark movie in Indian film history and Maniratnam rose to his present position of eminence after this movie.And it remains to be seen how Mysskins allegations against this movie will go down in the Tamil film industry. The next release of Myskkin is Pishasu
