Refereeing error grants kerala blasters a crucial victory in isl

A resilient Kerala Blasters eked out a hard fought 2-1 victory over Athletico de Kolkata. The match should have ended in a 2-2 draw if the line referee had granted a goal scored by marquee player Luis Garcia in the dying minutes of the game. The first time shot from Garcia had clearly crossed the goal line but the referee failed to notice it. Earlier Kerala Blasters were off to a best possible start as Ian Hume netted a goal in the 4 th minute much to the delight of 57000 roaring fans. The lead was enhanced in the 42 nd minute through an opportunistic strike by Gusmao. The fighting Kolkata outfit who had the better of the possession hit back through Fikru in the second half. Anyway in the end the disallowed goal proved the difference between the teams. Kerala team is currently in the third position in the league table.
