Tamil Hindu organisation lashes out against Rajanikanth. A Tamil Nadu based organisation Hindu Munnani has come out strongly against superstar Rajanikanth for reportedly considering to act as Tipu Sultan. Its leader Rama Gopalan has expressed shock over media reports which claimed that Superstar Rajinikanth may play the lead role in a biopic on Tipu Sultan. The organisation has urged Rajini to desist from acting as Tipu Sultan. According to them Tipu was lsquoanti-Tamil and hence no Tamil actors including Rajinikanth should star in the film. ldquoThe film will be an attempt to portray Tipu Sultan as a freedom fighter. Rajini who is celebrated and respected by the people of Tamil Nadu should not act in the bio-pic on Tipurdquo said the leader of the organisation.For a few days reports have been doing the rounds that businessman and producer Ashok Khenny has expressed his interest in making a biopic on Tipu Sultan and wishes to cast Rajinikanth in the title role and is planning to meet him soon.
